Sleeping Soundly, Forgetting the Coming of Dawn

1. Average hours of sleep
2. Waking time
3. Bedtime
4. Type of pajamas

Takada Sho

1. 5-7 hours
2. 6-7AM
3. 2AM
4. Jersey or T-shirt and boxers (tn: it says pantsu = underwear so I'm assuming they're boxers, not briefs, though that would be pretty hilarious)

Truthfully, even if I don't sleep, I'm still fine ne.  Even if I get only 3 hours of sleep, I feel completely fine, but when I don't sleep, my face gets wan and I break out, so I always feel like I need to properly sleep.  But without meaning to, there are times when I wake up during the middle of the night too.

Once, I accidentally fell asleep at the park ne.  I was sitting on a bench, basking in the sun and before I knew it, while I was sitting there, I fell asleep…After I woke up, I realized that a lot of time had passed and flustered, I thought, "What the heck!  I fell asleep!?" (laughs)

So basically, when it comes to sleeping, I'm really not obsessed about it.  Oh!  And I don't use a pillow--I use a cushion (tn: throw pillows).  Since I'm young, pillows feel hard.  If they could turn into soft, circular cushions, then I would be able to fall asleep so easily!  And after that, I would hug the futon and fall into a deep sleep! It feels like hugging a pillow, curled up a blanket and when it gets cold, I can grab the futon hanging above me.

A trick I have for helping me fall asleep is calling a friend.  When I talk on the phone, I get sleepy.  So what I end up doing is calling 2 or 3 friends and after we talk, I go to sleep.  In the middle of the conversation, I gradually become more and more tired and in the end I'm just mumbling back answers.  Because it's like that, I rarely ever remember what the conversation was about ne.  (laughs)

Masuda Ryo

1. 7-8 hours
2. 6:50AM (translator notes:  so specific! lol)
3. 11PM-12AM
4. Sweater or T-shirt and shorts

I used to only get about 5 hours of sleep.  But since my condition easily crumbles from lack of sleep, I tried sleeping more and I felt more like myself.  I even stopped falling asleep in class!  Before, when I was only getting 5 hours, I would always doze off in class and my head would go (CRASH!@!) onto my desk!  That got everyone's attention. (laughs)

When it's time to go to bed, I go to our tatami room and lay out a futon to go sleep.  But I'm yearning for a life with beds na.  How do I put it?  Beds have an elegant feeling to them don't they? (laughs)  Incidentally, I sleep on my right side with my head on a pillow.  Even though I wake up feeling refreshed, I still end up feeling sleepy.

When I was little, I would always have nightmares so sleeping became something that wasn't enjoyable naa.  But conversely, when it's a fun dream, I've burst out laughing in my sleep before.  My parents tell me that in the middle of the night, they'd hear, "HA HA HAAAA!" and laughing or something. (laughs)

Waking is a great thing, isn't it?  When you wake up, you can quickly feel the excitement for the coming day!  There are times when I've left the house five minutes after waking up.  But those times it's only because I have to meet up with a friend or I'm going shopping for clothes.  When I'm heading off for school, it's impossible for me to rush off like that. (laughs)

Kishi Takayoshi

1. about 7 hours
2. 7:30-8AM
3. 1AM
4. T-shirt and boxers

I can sleep anywhere, anytime.  Whether I'm on a trip, in a room with blazing lights, even if it's noisy, a bed or futon--none of that matters.  But, falling asleep on a train would be bad.  I'm just saying that because once in a while, I miss my train stop…When I have to go somewhere to perform for a concert, I carelessly end up missing my stop and end up coming late.  Since I board the express train and it has to return quickly, I'm always in a bit of a hurry ne.

Every day, before I go to sleep, I do weight training.  About 70 push ups and then while I'm watching TV is what I normally do.

My sleeping posture is...pretty bad.  (laughs)  When I sleep, just in case, I sleep facing up but when I wake up, it's completely screwed up.  The worst was when I woke one day and found myself lying in the door entryway.  I was flabbergasted when I woke up and saw shoes in front of my eyes! (laughs) It's complicated getting from my room to the door entryway so it's such a mystery!  How the heck was I able to find my way all the way over there?!

According to my family's eyewitness report, in the middle of the night, I took my little sister's bag and I threw it onto the sofa and used it as a pillow.  But I don't remember a thing... My family thinks I'm a bit of a nuisance too ne. (laughs)
