Battery Drama Episode 1: Be Serious Screen Caps

His face is so wonderfully expressive, isn't it?

credits to CHLOE for subbing the drama.  These are only Sho caps.

Battery Drama Episode 1: Be Serious

I remember trying to watch Battery once before and I absolutely hated it because it seemed like such a pointless story.  It was right after I finished Koishite Akuma, which I had mixed thoughts on, but I was interested to see Yuma's progression and so I went to seek out Battery.  It was hard to find.  I found it on mysoju but the quality was so distracting that I couldn't bear to watch more than two episodes before skimming through the entire series.

I remember thinking to myself, "Whoever that kid is, he's so genki compared to Yuma.  His smile is adorable."

That kid was Sho.

Takada Sho...a Bullied Child?????

After reading this, I was a bit touched.  Sho is so wonderfully awkward!!!  But it must have been hard on him, being so lonely for so long.  I think it explains his hesitance a lot.  I feel like he questions himself a lot, like "What am I doing wrong?  What should I do?  Is this right?"  He really matches the kimono.  Very boy next door.

What a cute baby!!!  Whoever he marries one day will have gorgeous babies too.  That's for sure.  The caption reads

"The Sho part of my name came from the words soaring high"

Picture of the Day

I noticed that I've only posted his serious pictures so for today's picture, I'll post a lighthearted one.  This is a screen cap from the first episode of Battery.  I love this scene.  It totally looks like Yuma is checking out Sho's ass.  And Sho's oblivious.  Or maybe he's saying, "Ahahaha.  Look at it!  It's a piece of art, isn't it???" and Yuma looks and goes, "Huh.  Can't disagree with you there."

Oh goodness.

Jekyll and Hyde and Palm Reading: Takada Sho is a mystery man

This bit was asking Sho about his personality and how his bloodtype related to it.  I thought it was funny.  He's a very unintentionally offbeat kid.  A go with a flow type.  I thought it was funny how he was really into horoscopes.  On another note, isn't the picture crazy beautiful?  Ryo, Sho and Takayoshi look like they're gracing a movie cover.  Definitely one of their better photo shoots.  I like that he answers everything earnestly and freely.  Sho is a gem that will continued to be polished.

Takada Sho

For AB blood types, "split personalities" is what's always written but...that actually does hit the mark doesn't it? (laughs) I suppose that, concerning my spirits, I'm intense in that my highs are very high and my lows are very low aren't they?

How to put it?  I'm like a Jekyll and Hyde type, a mystery man. (laughs)

Sho's Timeline

I thought this was interesting. Looking at this timeline, it made me realize how quickly he was thrown into Johnny's jimusho.  He was fourteen when he entered and less than four months later he was able to star in a drama.  I think that's pretty amazing and but I think that it must have been really hard for him.

Sho's Approximate Life History

1993 Born in Tokyo on September 14
1994 First vacation of his life: went to Okinawa
1998 Enrolls in kindergarten
2000 Enters elementary school
2003 Begins baseball
2006 Enters middle school
2007 Becomes a junior (December) Age 14
2008 Has his first appearance in magazine Myojo (March)
         Battery drama airs (April)

Picture of the Day

I'd like to start a picture of the day.  It may be a challenge but it's possible!!!  Takada Sho is unstoppable!!!

And he looks smokin hot here.  Piercing eyes, ruffled hair, strong features and that one button undone.  It's a shame he's still just a baby.  There's something wrong with me.

Sho is a very laidback guy

I was going through magazine articles and I decided to try my hand again at translating.  I chose a short one, an interview about favorite places.  Enjoy!

Takada Sho

I love my house.  I suppose it's the place where I can relax easily.  How I spend time at home is mainly...sleeping. (laughs)  When I get home from school, I go straight to bed.  When it gets dark, I wake up and eat and then listen to music.  And then I go back to sleep.  Something like that.  But doing something like that, spending time relaxing, I think, is really an important thing.

Whenever I see him

I smile.  He's usually not front and center during performances so I feel happy to get a glimpse of him on stage.  He was in NYC boys but I couldn't spot him in the pv so I watched the MS performance and success.  He was dancing behind Yuma!  I was smiling so big.

He looks so adorably awkward here.  Battery has returned!!! Sho x Yuma

Profile

I tried my hand at translating his Wiki profile.

Takada Sho
高田翔
His name means to soar, to fly.
DOB: 9/14/1993
Age: 16

Interesting facts

Takada Sho is an actor under JE.  He is currently an ungrouped junior , is blood type AB and his birthplace/hometown is Tokyo.

From 2004 to 2007 he was a member of the Shiki Theatre Company and performed in The Lion King musical.

From October 2007 onwards, he switched agencies, joining Johnny’s jimusho as a junior.  At around the same time, Ookawa Keigo, Masuda Ryo and Nakada Hiroki also entered.  At that time he was also cast in television drama Battery as a supporting role.

Sho, Ookawa Keigo, Masuda Ryo, Nakada Hiroki, Kishi Takayoshi have done almost all of their activities together.

Takahata Misaki, former B.I. Shadow member under JE, was also a part of the Shiki Theater company before joining Johnny’s jimusho.  He played the same role as Sho.

For the television drama Battery, Sho had to shave his hair.

Sho and Ookawa Keigo are ramen buddies.

He respects Kattun’s Kamenashi Kazuya, Mis Snow Man’s Sanada Yuma and Kis-My-Ft2’s Senga Kento.

Dramas

Keijiro Engawa Nikki Season 3 guest (2006)

Battery as Nagakura Go (2008)

Hontou ni Atta Kowai Hanashi as Miyamoto Kazuya (2008)

Team Batista SP Silence of the Nightingale as Makimura Mizuhito (2009)

Variety

He is on Shonen Club but just barely.  He isn't featured often and when he is, it's very brief.

Sho is also on Hyakushiki.  He's quite reserved on there but I think it's because everyone is basically his senpai.  He's also not a master at playing it up for the camera yet.

Welcome

This is the first official English Takada Sho, or perhaps the only Takada Sho dedicated fan blog in existence as of this moment. It will be fun. What I will try to do is comb magazine articles and pictures and lay them out here and I'll also try to do some translations. Although my Japanese is only basic, I think that I can do it.

Takada Sho is an ungrouped jr and known for his charming smile, when he allows the world to see it, that is. He is a member of the Hyakushiki team, perhaps the most reserved one and he's still getting his feet wet.

Also, I will be creating a youtube account with Sho's clips. When it's ready, I'll post links.
